Outline
This one day programme provides new managers and supervisors with an overview of people management.

Who is it for?
It is aimed at new managers and supervisors who have little knowledge of employment law and people management issues.

Course objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand the scope of the manager’s roles and responsibilities in relation to people management.
• Use a number of practical methods to develop their team members.

Course content
The workshop covers

• Introduction to employment law
• Managing performance and discipline
• Creative thinking techniques
• Chairing meetings
• Questioning techniques
