Appraisal and feedback

Appraisal is an area of management which can create apprehension in many managers, particularly those new to the role.  This interactive workshop provides participants with the basic ground rules for appraisal and feedback, allowing them to develop their own style.

Who is it for?
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has responsibility for carrying out appraisals and giving feedback. 

Course objectives
At the end of the course participants should feel confident to ~

• Manage the appraisal process from start to finish
• Set SMART objectives
• Set and agree performance standards
• Assess and monitor performance
• Use effective questioning techniques
• Provide structured feedback
• Establish training and coaching needs
• Understand the impact of culture on the appraisal process
